Business Insurance from Neis Insurance Agency
In November 2018, Macy’s had a warehouse fire, which did an estimated 100 million dollars of damage to goods and structure. Without the right insurance, this cost could have come out of their pocket crippling the company and possibly leading to bankruptcy. Fortunately, they did have insurance and were able to bounce back.
At Neis, we hear stories like this all the time. Let us do the worrying for you so you can focus on your business. We will be in your corner.
Before it was Macy’s, it was R.H. Macy & Co., founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 1843. In 1858, the first Macy’s in New York opened, although it was not located at 34th and Broadway until 1902. The New York location is known worldwide for its impressive window displays. Surprisingly, Macy’s did not go nationwide until the 1990s.
